The V.M’s mission for the promotion of visual arts in the country reaffirms its commitment of social and cultural activities by taking the lead in introducing young talent, and by supporting the emerging art genres.
An idea developed by Gallery Director Riffat Alvi in 2003 to exhibit fresh graduate work of Fine Arts from all over the country; show casing their creativity under one roof, had been a first in the country; a sort of exhibition that had a dual purpose; to provide a venue to the graduate; to highlight different bodies of artwork, to be able to compare different levels of instructions being imparted in our art institutions and also to catapult the emerging artist into the mainstreams of art activities.
With collaboration from the Head of Departments of Fine Arts from art colleges and universities on a national level, a large body of work in painting, sculpture, ceramics, digital and installation art is show cased to a local audience. Having completed its seventh season, this exhibition has remained a very special annual event as it is the high light of the VM‘s yearly calendar, with both seasoned and young upcoming collectors who often anxiously wait for such a show, or some simply visit see a visual array of art under one roof. This particular event is a significant achievement by an art gallery for the promotion of young talent in the country at the same time maintaining the strict guideline.
The Emerging Talent Exhibition receives much publicity in terms of print and electronic media in the local press, as well as great reviews by the critics.

VM is a project of the Rangoonwala Trust gallery and has been promoting visual Arts and providing a venue for the young graduates of various art institutions of the country. Emerging Talent is a showcase of multi talented young artist, booming with creativity and providing a great visual treat to the art lovers and new collectors to acquire, a mix body of works drawings, paintings and sculpture.

The V.M. Art Gallery proudly presents the annual 7th Emerging Talent Exhibition. The VM Gallery is a project of the Rangoonwala Trust and has been promoting art education and has been providing a venue for the young emerging artists; graduates from the various art institutions of the country. Since the last many years the VM Art Gallery’s Emerging talent Exhibition is a highlight of the gallery, providing a visual treat of many selected artworks for the Karachi audience and an opportunity for new collectors to acquire young artist’s works. The gallery showcases a mix body of works in mostly drawings painting, printmaking, sculpture and ceramics from art schools colleges and universities, these are on view for a period of three and a half weeks.Participating schools/colleges /universities are:

V.M. Art Gallery presents the 6th Emerging Talent Exhibition 2008, a display of selected thesis works by the graduating class of all the leading art institutions, colleges and Fine Art Departments of leading universities of the country. The Emerging Talent is hosted by the VM Art Gallery annually. It has highlighted works by many graduates who have further gone on to achieve successful careers; both nationally and internationally. The theme of an exhibition, such as this is to create further interest in the field of fine arts and education and to promote the young artists.
