Bani Abidi is a video artist based in Lahore, Pakistan. She is a graduate of the National College of Arts and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Banis work has gone a long way in a short time in emphasing the importance of time based arts within Contemporary Pakistani art practice. Bani's mentionable videos are Mangoes, Anthem, The News, Reconstruction and 'Shan Pipe Band Learns the Star Spangled Banner'. She has shown at exhbitions and film festivals nationally and internationally for the past 6 years. Recently Bani was invited to participate in the Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale 2005 and The Commonwealth Contemporary 2006, Melbourne.
